Shane was hoping to progress up the ladder even more having the home track advantage. Heat 1 saw Shane start from row 3 on the grid. Shane moved through the pack to come home in 4th. Heat 2 Shane thought the track had dried out some what and decided to lmake some adjustments to the car setup hoping that the changes to the car would suit the track . This was not the case as macdonald found out, starting on the front row, macdonald struggled with the car and came home in 5th position. The third and final heat saw Shane and Nathan in the same heat, both cars lined up on the second row.  Nathan settled into 3rd place and soon made his way into 2nd behind Todd Doyle.  Nathan chasing the tail of Doyle for several laps, with Doyle the eventual winner from Macdonald.  Shane ran wide which saw him fall back to 5th position.
