Shane Macdonald was all ready to do battle at his home
track again on Saturday night but Mother Nature had other ideas. A
heavy downpour about 3.00PM saw the track become really greasy. The
grader tried to skim the top off the track to no avail, both the
Super Sedans and the Modified Production cars all had a go at
packing the track down but we were running out of time so the
committee decided to cancel the event. Macdonald quite disappointed
with the decision as he thought with a bit more packing of the track
it would have come good. Also there were 19 Modified Production cars
there too which should have produced some hard and fast racing.
Macdonald will now spend his time building up some more spares and
be ready to attack Maryborough on the 1st and 2nd January. |
