After many great drives and podium placing's in his short time in the Modified Production category, Shane Macdonald was yet to come away with a win.  But the last two outings has seen Shane win both feature races.  "The car is really going well this year, hopefully we can carry it through to the Australian Title at Easter" Macdonald said.

Racing at Brisbane International Speedway on the 5th January 2008, Shane started the night in heat one out of position nine.  After fighting his way through to 6th place behind Shane Dennis, Macdonald manage to go underneath Dennis to finish in 5th place.

Starting from position three in heat two, Macdonald went around Steve Collins into second, as he chased home Mark Ferguson.  Ferguson crossed the line first with Macdonald in second and Shane Dennis third.

Heat three saw Macdonald off the rear, while making up a few positions, action packed Modified Production racing was at its best, with at times up to three cars wide.  Shane was unfortunately one of these cars and an altercation between himself, Steve Price and Gary Maroske resulted with Shane having a flat tyre, forcing him to retire.

Macdonald come out for the final surprisingly qualifying out of position five.  As the race got underway Macdonald slipped into 4th spot behind Steven Zahl.  Making a clean pass up the back straight, Macdonald moved past Zahl into 3rd, as he chased down the race leader Shane Dennis and 2nd place Mark Ferguson.  As Macdonald lined up his next move, moving alongside Ferguson up the back straight and at the same time, the race leader had a moment coming into turn three.  Shane wasn't phased as he powered on and into the race lead.  From here on Macdonald opened up a convincing lead, taking out his second consecutive feature race win.

Another few weeks off will see Shane and the car be back for round 5 of the G&W Racing Modified Production Series at Gympie on the 16th February, 2008.
