Saturday night saw a successful night for some once again.  After rebuilding the engine that blew up a fortnight ago, Nathan was back for revenge!  Heat 1 saw Shane start up the front, while Nathan towards the rear, (Nathan must start at the rear for the first few race meetings, being a new driver).  Shane drove well to finish a comfortable 3rd, while Nathan was slowing down as he could feel vibrations from under neath the car somewhere, later to discover that the tail shaft was rubbing, due to a gearbox spacer being in the wrong position.  That was fixed ready for the next heat. 

Once again heat 2 saw Shane up the front and Nathan at the rear.  Shane finished 1st while Nathan drove through the pack to finish 3rd behind Shane Hollyman.  The 12 lap feature drew Shane up the front again, while Nathan started from 8th(the rear).  Shane pulled away easily to establish a good lead, while at about lap 8, there was a stoppage, due to half of Shane's exhaust being on the track.  Shane was ordered by the officials to pull onto the infield.  The positions then saw, Shane Hollyman, Nathan Macdonald and Dennis Bullpitt.  With Nathan following closely behind Hollyman for the rest of the race, Nathan was able to get a good run up the back straight on the last lap, diving up the inside on the last corner, after swapping some paint, Macdonald had enough speed to take the chequered flag in style!!  That being his 2nd official race meeting, his 2nd official race that he has finished, and his first Feature Race win.  Final positions were as follows- 1st: Nathan Macdonald  2nd: Shane Hollyman  3rd: Dennis Bullpitt. 

Thanks must go out to Dad and Shane who helped put the engine back together, Trappy who's always around when help is needed, and Shezza for braving it out to sit in the passenger seat!!  The next meeting will be the City of Brisbane Title which will be held on the 8th of November!
