QLD Title

The final
race of the season arrived, that being the QLD Modified
Production Title at Maryborough Speedway over the June long
weekend (7th & 8th). With action aplenty and the
racing fast and furious as ever, Shane Macdonald was back to
have another crack at a title and so were 59 other entrants. |

The
2007/2008 Handy Hire Australian Title was underway, as Shane
slotted into 14th place once the lights went green.
Macdonald managed to avoid several incidents and at one
stage lost two positions to Troy Ware and Darren White but
fought back twice as hard to regain those positions.
Making his way through the field Macdonald was in 7th with a
handful of laps to go. |

After a
gruelling week of preparation, fabrication and re-modelling
the front end of the car caused by a nasty crash at Charlton
a week ago, Shane Macdonald is almost set to compete in his
first Australian Title in Modified Production. |

Shane
Macdonald emerged victorious at the final round of the
2007/2008 G&W Racing Queensland Modified Production Series
held at Brisbane International Speedway on Saturday night
(March 1st). Macdonald out performed all his opponents,
qualifying on the outside front pole beside New South Wales
Champion Steve Price. |

Shane
Macdonald contested Round five of the 2007/2008 G&W Racing
Modified Production Series held at Gympie Speedway on the
15th March. Sitting in fifth place in the point
standings, Macdonald was keen to continue a strong run to
maintain or advance up the ladder. |

After
many great drives and podium placing's in his short time in
the Modified Production category, Shane Macdonald was yet to
come away with a win. But the last two outings has
seen Shane win both feature races. "The car is really
going well this year, hopefully we can carry it through to
the Australian Title at Easter" Macdonald said. |

Shane
Macdonald travelled to Mothar Mountain Speedway in Gympie on
Saturday night (15th December) to fight it out in the T-Mac
Auto Spares Modified Production Challenge. Shane come
away with the victory in the 25 lap final in what was his
first feature race win in Modified Production. |

After driving
through rain for most of the trip down to Brisbane and along
the coast, the skies started to clear up as we crossed the
border into NSW. Arriving at Lismore it looked like it
was going to be a great night for Round three of the G&W
Racing Modified Production Series. |

Shane
Macdonald and his team made their way to Maryborough Speedway on
Saturday night (10th November) for round 2 of the G&W Racing
Modified Production Series. With around 45 cars nominated for the
event, it was going to be one of the biggest races Shane has
competed in, this being Macdonald's second only visit to the track.

4, 2007
Saturday the 3rd
of November saw the running of the Brisbane 1000 at Brisbane
International Speedway. Shane got off to a good start for
the night leading his first heat from start to finish. The
car was set up almost perfectly, as Shane had made nearly
half a laps lead. We made a few small adjustments after the
race for heat 2. |

Shane Macdonald started his season off at Charlton Raceway
on Saturday night, in round 1of the G&W Racing Modified
Production Series. Countless hours were spent on the car
the night before the race doing the signs and getting it
ready, Shane would like to thank all the people around him
who helped him get the car to the track. As the car rolled
out of the shed it looked a million dollars, with the
striking new livery for 2007/2008. |
