Another sad end to the QLD Title |

After a strong showing in the first night of racing for the state title,
Shane continued on his solid form with a 3rd placing in his final heat on the
second night (10th June). Shane qualified his Linmac Automotive commodore from
position 8 for the 40 lap final, with a number of hot contenders up ahead of
him, including Aiden Raymont, Todd Doyle, Mark Raymont, Glen Pagel, Dale
Grother, Gary Maroske and Gavin Lorensen. |

Shane Macdonald has had a great start to his QLD title campaign, being held
at Mothar Mountain Speedway in Gympie. Problems had struck Shane even before
his first race, with the alternator not charging the battery. A temporary fix
saw Shane get through the night ok. Shane then went on to post some solid heat
results and come out of the first night with the car in one piece and looking
good for night two. |

Kingaroy was the venue for yet another race meeting for Shane Macdonald. 7
cars were nominated for the event but this didn't stop them from putting on one
hell of a show. |

Rainfall

Rain has caused the cancellation of last nights racing (28th April). Shane
Macdonald had raced his two heats, and soon after the rain came down, not
heavily but enough to ruin the rest of the night. The Sprintcar QLD Title was
actually run today (29th April) with Andrew Scheuerle winning the Title. |

The last race meeting for Charlton raceway this season saw the running of
the modified production Grand Prix. After last meeting at Charlton, Shane felt
the car was lacking some power and had a few handling issues. After rectifying
these problems Shane was very impressed with the performance of the car. |

The final round of the
HDS Modified Production Series wound up at Charlton Raceway on Saturday night
(March 10). Shane come into the event sitting in 7th place on the points
table. After seven gruelling rounds (and one roll over!), Shane dropped one
place to finish the HDS Series in 8th place. Shane was wrapped with the effort
himself and the team have done in what was his first full season of racing in
Modified Production. |

The team ventured to a
track which they had never even set their eyes on, for Round 6 of the HDS
Series. Shane finished the feature race in 11th place after fighting with the
car as it had no power steering all race. |

Shane Macdonald is almost
set to attack the 6th round of the HDS Modified Production Series at Maryborough
Speedway this weekend the 24th February. Shane is currently sitting 7th in the
series and will be looking to pick off a few more places with two rounds
remaining. |

A sad end to the night of
racing for Shane Macdonald saw the Linmac Automotive Commodore climb the
Rockhampton fence and roll once landing back on its wheels. What even made it
more sour was that Macdonald was running in third place at the time challenging
Glenn Pagel for 2nd. |

Shane Macdonald arrived at the Rockhampton showground complex with several
showers passing over the city during the day, but the skies started to clear up
come race time. Being a granite based track it can take a lot of water before
you cannot race on it. There was a light drizzle all night, the first few races
were a really greasy track but it come good later in the night. |

The Modified Production 6x6 Shoot-out was held at Charlton Raceway on New Years
Eve, which was a Holden VS Ford Challenge. Six locals were invited to take part
in the race, which saw three rounds of two heats. |

Shane was forced out of the
feature race at Brisbane Speedway on Saturday night when the right rear tyre
popped off the rim whilst running 5th. Macdonald had qualified out of 9th in
the feature and was dicing with Gary Maroske. |

Saturday night saw the
running of Round 3 of the Modified Production HDS Series at Mothar Mountain
Speedway, Gympie. Shane Macdonald played with the car all night in the heats
but had the setup just right for the feature, qualifying from 15th place and
carved his way through the field to finish a superb 5th. |

grid in the 25 lap final to finish a solid 3rd. The racing was close and the
