Saturday Night saw Macdonald Racing head off to Maryborough
for the final round of the Exide Batteries Nambour
Queensland Modified Production Series in which Shane and
Nathan were in positions 8th and 10th
respectively. Both Brothers were hoping for a good night to
climb the point’s ladder.

Easter Sunday the 4th of April saw the running of the Easter
Classic for Modified Productions at Charlton Raceway. Starting from third
on the grid for heat one, Nathan struggled in the heavy track to go forward,
after sitting in fifth Nathan moved past brother Shane to finish
4th after he was suffering an engine misfire. |

After a fairly successful weekend a week ago Shane was
hoping to pick up where he left off. With a second and third
placing in his heats, Shane Macdonald qualified his VS
Commodore out of position 5for the Tasmanian Title while
Nathan Macdonald made up for the disappointing finish in
last weeks Australian Title to bring his VZ Commodore home
in 2nd place in the title at the Mountain Dew Ice Speedway,
Hobart, Tasmania. |

2010
Coming into the final night of racing, Nathan was leading
the points tally ahead of Andrew Blackwell and Mark Carlin.
After some unfortunate penalties the night before Shane was
13th in points. Nathan had some work cut out for him
in his heat starting from the back of the field in 9th
place.

Another podium finish for brothers Shane and Nathan
Macdonald at Gympie Speedway on Saturday night (20th
February) driving Shane's QLD Title winning car, was a much
welcomed reward leading up to the National Title being held
in Tasmania in two weeks time. |

night saw round 3 of the Exide Batteries Nambour Modified
Production Series held at Charlton Raceway in which Shane
Currently sits 5th after a great round at Brisbane the other
weekend. Shane was hoping to progress up the ladder even
more having the home track advantage. Heat 1 saw Shane start
from row 3 on the grid. |

Round two of the
Exide Batteries Nambour QLD Series was held at Brisbane
International Speedway on Saturday night the 16th January,
with both Shane and Nathan Macdonald displaying a strong
presence in the feature race. QLD Champion Shane Macdonald
qualified the 30-lap final out of position three, while
Brett Baxter was to be off pole position with Aidan Raymont
on the outside. Nathan qualified his car out
of position ten in the 20 car field. |

Macdonald took the win in Saturday nights feature race ahead
of Rodney Pammenter and Royce Ernst in front of a big World
Series Sprintcars crowd. Macdonald Qualified his Queensland
1 car on pole position alongside Robert Trapp. Macdonald led
the race from start to finish. |

It was time for
Round 2 of the Fraser Coast Modified Production Series as Shane
and Nathan Macdonald set about to head into a new year and to
Maryborough Speedway for a two night show on Friday and Saturday
Night (1st & 2nd). A big weekend was a ahead with 50 cars
nominated for Round 2. |

Lismore rained out |
Saturday December 26, 2009
Lismore Speedway was over before it could begin due to
the Inclement weather. Overnight rain and early morning
showers left promoter David Lander with no alternative but
to call off the race meeting. Luckily Shane had met up
Trappy and brother Nathan on the highway at Blacksoil. It
was there that we found that the meeting had been called
off. |

Shane Macdonald was all ready to do battle at his home
track again on Saturday night but Mother Nature had other
ideas. A heavy downpour about 3.00PM saw the track become
really greasy. |

Macdonald last night headed back to Brisbane International
Speedway to try to win his second feature race of the
season. Macdonald was looking the goods but was unable to
make a pass stick for the win. Mark Ferguson was the
eventual winner followed by Macdonald and
Quintin Clarke. |
