Rain has played
its part in Shane's second hit out for the season. About an
hour after we turned up at the track the heavens opened up
and it rained for a while then it stopped but another storm
was brewing so they decided to call the meeting off.
Macdonald disappointed as he was hoping to try out the power
steering after some modifications were done to make it
lighter. Next weekend will see the team head off to Gympie
for round 2 of the G & W Racing Modified Production series
at Gympie.
Macdonald all fired
up for Season opener at Charlton Thursday 30

This Saturday night will
see the return of Shane Macdonald powering his way onto the Speedway
circuit at Charlton Raceway. After a hectic racing schedule
last season, Macdonald finished 4th in the GW Racing Modified
Production Series, 4th in the QLD Title and was running 5th in the
Australian Title until a faulty sensor forced him out with 2 laps
remaining. This season Shane will not be competing in the
entire GW Racing series but will be focussing on local shows at
Charlton Raceway. Stay tuned for results after the meeting.

A
lot of outside help goes into the race car, and Shane would like
to make special mention of Dennis from Toowoomba Steering
Service who has been invaluable to the success of Shane's
driving. Dennis, as a racer himself, a lot of times puts more
time and effort into other peoples cars ahead of his own and the
team are greatly appreciative of it, we just hope we can
continue our strong start to the season.
